John Shave has spent much of his life in Australia where he is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts of South Australia and has won many awards for his paintings and has written for Australian Artist magazine.
John now lives in England. He exhibits at various regional galleries and at the Mall Galleries London. His work has been included in the Royal Society of Portraits Painters exhibitions, the Royal Instritute of Oil Painters exhibitions and the Royal Society of Marine Painters exhibitions. He is a member of the Wapping Group of Artists and East Anglian Marine Artists.
John is a modern impressionist, his paintings capture a sense of place or a moment in time, the dazzle of light on water in the early morning or the pause before dusk.
His paintings are held in collections worldwide including Australia, Hong Kong, France, Germany and Italy.
