Advance 2012 Overseas Course Information
We are delighted to offer two eight-day painting courses in Venice. One in May with Robert Brindley and one in September with Soraya French.
In between our Venice visits we will be running an eight-day painting course in Dubrovnik (22nd-29th May)with Derek Daniells followed by an opportunity to join Watercolour tutor Steve Hall painting around the beautiful Northern Shoreline of Lake Garda.
Early booking is essential as our courses abroad are very popular.
Venice has been seducing artists for centuries - it has a timeless quality which is both magical and unique. To paint in Venice is truly an unforgettable experience.
Under tutor Soraya French's expert guidance you are invited to join us painting in the media of your choice as we visit our carefully chosen painting locations. Soraya will organise a structured daily painting format which will include demonstrations, group tuition and one to one guidance as appropriate. Demonstrations will be in Acrylic.
We will be staying at the Hotel Riviera on the Lido which enjoys stunning views across the water to Venice itself. The hotel, which offers stylish public rooms and a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere, is ideally situated for the waterbus which takes us into Venice each day.
We are always close to cafe's for coffees, lunches and toilets during the painting day.
Just because we are booked at the hotel on a B&B basis does not mean that you need to fend for yourself in the evenings, we will arrange a table for dinner for the group at local restaurant, in Venice and on the lido, during the course of the week for a drink and a meal. Whilst not part of the course it is an enjoyable way to round off the painting day!
There will be one half day in the painting sense when you are free to shop, relax or do as you wish. Following dinner one evening we will have a drink at Florians in St Marks Square and listen to the musicians. Not a cheap coffee but an unmissable experience!
